Manic Monday

Manic Monday is a song by the Bangles in 1986, which was written by Prince and produced by David Kahne. It appeared in the album Different Light.

History

1984 Prince wrote the song which was originally intended as a duet with Apollonia 6. But later he offered the Bangles to the song, after their album All Over The Place belongs. Then the band took the song in 1985 in the studio Sunset Sound Factory.

Manic Monday is about a woman who hates assembly. The text is written by Prince of The- Mamas -and-the - papas classic Monday, Monday model from 1966, and some passages you sampelte from his song in 1999 from the year 1982. Publication took place on 11 January 1986.

Music Video

The director of the music video led Leslie Libman. The plot of the music video matches the lyrics of the song. At the beginning you see in fade-outs for the dream sequences alarm clock, beach, Susanna Hoffs lying in bed with a man and a calendar that displays installation. Then the Bangles offer the song is in a park, it hurries Susanna Hoffs with different modes of transport such as car, bus and train to work. At work she writes reports. At the end of the video, the calendar is displayed from the beginning again.
