The Mannheim Business School was founded in 2005 out of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim in order to focus the programs offered there of academic management education at a common carrier. It is organized as a nonprofit GmbH. The deposits here are spread over the Prechel Foundation to 75 %, and the University of Mannheim to 25 %. The Business School serves about 400 participants. The courses are mostly conducted by professors of the Faculty of Business Administration.

Courses of Study

The Mannheim Business School offers three entirely in English, Master of Business Administration courses: the " Mannheim MBA" as a one-year full -time and two year part-time program with the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales ( ESSEC ) in Cergy (France) to part-time " ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA " and with Tongji University in Shanghai ( people's Republic of China) the " Mannheim & Tongji Executive MBA ".

The auditing part of the study program offered since 2008 " Mannheim Master of Accounting & Taxation " ( audit and tax ) is accredited by the Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of Study Programmes in accordance with § 8a Wirtschaftsprüferordnung and allows the professional exam immediately after graduation to store it in abbreviated form. In addition, the Mannheim Business School offers multi-day management courses and training programs for businesses.

Accreditations

With the accreditation of its programs by the British Association of MBAs ( AMBA ) 2008, the Mannheim Business School now owns the three main international seal of approval, called the " Triple Crown ". Less than two percent of the approximately 3,900 business schools worldwide have so far successfully the examination by the three accreditation organizations AMBA (London), AACSB (St. Louis / USA) and EQUIS ( Brussels) provided. In German-speaking Mannheim Business School is the first and only institution with this triple international accreditation.
