Manoah

Manoah appears in the Tanach, the Hebrew Bible, as the father of the Israelite judge Samson.

Manoah lived according to the Book of Judges in a village called Zora. He and his wife, who is not mentioned by name, belonged to the tribe of Dan.

According to the biblical narrative came Manaochs woman someday distraught home and reported that it had appeared an angel and had prophesied her the birth of a son. Manoah, who did not believe this, ran out into the field and found the stranger who he confirmed the news.

Manoah and his wife brought YHWH then a fire offerings; When the flame went up, so Ri 13.20, the angel went into the fire and disappeared. Now the elderly Manoah believed in the miracle of the Lord. A few months later, Samson was born.

About Manoah the Bible mentions three chapters later in Ri 16.31 that Samson was buried after its end in the Philistine temple of Dagon in his father between Zorah and Eshtaol grave.
