Manuel Soares dos Reis
Manuel José Soares dos Reis (* March 11, 1910, † unknown) was a Portuguese football goalkeeper.
Career
In the club
Soares dos Reis began his career at FC Leca, already left the club but after one season. Two years later he hired at Boavista Porto and stayed there for only one year. Then moved to city rivals FC Porto, where he remained until the end of his active career.
In the National Team
For the Portuguese national football team Soares dos Reis graduated four games. His first he denied on March 11, 1934 on his 24th birthday, against Spain. It was this to be a qualifying match for the World Cup in Italy in 1934, which Soares dos Reis and Portugal lost 9-0.
His next three games were all friendlies against Spain ( 3-3 draw ), Austria ( 2:3 defeat ) and Germany ( 1-3 defeat ).
