Manulife Centre

The Manulife Centre consists of two tall residential buildings and are located at the corner of Bay Street and Bloor Street in Toronto, Canada. The higher building is located at 44 Charles Street and the smaller building at 55 Bloor Street West. The two buildings are connected to a shopping center on the ground floor area. On the top floor there is a panoramic restaurant.

History

Construction of the building began in 1972 and were completed in 1974. The building was constructed on behalf of the insurance company Manulife Financial and is still practiced today.

Presence

Today the building serves as a residential and shopping center with shops and restaurants. The radio station Bay Bloor Radio which was founded in 1946 and has moved shortly after the opening of the building, operates even today its studios in the building.

The building is connected to the underground PATH Tunnelsstem and thus connects several buildings together. Furthermore, you can go to the underground metro station, Bloor - Yonge.
