Marc Benioff

Marc Russell Benioff ( born September 25, 1964 in San Francisco) is an American entrepreneur.

In March 1999 he founded salesforce.com and is a pioneer of cloud computing. Forbes magazine estimated his fortune at $ 2 billion.

Already as a student Benioff had founded a company that specialized in games for Atari. After finishing school in 1982 he studied at the University of Southern California, where he in 1986 received a Bachelor in Business Administration. He then worked as a programmer for the Apple Macintosh, then moved to Oracle, where he was sales and marketing career in the field.
