Life

Walder denied as Tennis Professional 1984-1991 world tournaments of the ATP tour. Best ranking in Switzerland: Number 7 Best ranking in the ATP World Ranking: 109 (double ) or 403 ( Single). In 1989, he was two-time Swiss champion in double ( indoor and outdoor ). Walder completed the Advanced Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA ( 2008).

Marc Walder lives near Zurich, is married and has two daughters.

Ringier AG

After completion of the tennis career Walder began his career at the largest Swiss media company (1992). Walder graduated from the Ringier School of Journalism (1993 /94). From 1997 to 1999 he was Deputy Executive Editor of the Sunday view, from 1999 to 2000 head of sport of eye gaze and Sunday and from 1999 to 2006, Walder as Chief Editor of the Swiss magazine, the largest circulation magazine in Switzerland. He then served as chief editor of the Sunday look firm and served simultaneously as a newspaper director of Ringier AG. On 1 September 2008, the forests within the Ringier Group, the Board of Ringier Switzerland. The media manager pursues a consistent diversification strategy. In addition to the core business of newspapers, magazines, printing invested Ringier under forests in the areas of Entertainment ( Events, Ticketing, radio, TV) and transaction-based Internet business ( marketplaces, e-commerce). As of April 5, 2012 Walder was appointed CEO of Ringier AG and took over the chairmanship of the Executive Committee. Until March 2013, he served additionally as CEO Ringier Publishing and is responsible today the associated business Ringier China and Pacific.

Marc Walder holds several directorships of investment companies within the diversified media company Ringier. He is chairman of the board of Ringier Africa Ltd, Vice Chairman of the Board of Ringier Digital AG, jobs.ch holding ag, Ticket Corner, The Classical Company and of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland AG, a joint venture of Ringier with the sports rights marketers Infront train. Marc Walder is a member of the board of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, a joint venture of Ringier with the media company Axel Springer AG, Le Temps, the Scout24 Switzerland Holding AG, Onet and the group buying company DeinDeal AG. Next amtet the CEO of Ringier AG as the Board delegate to the concert organizers Good News Productions AG, at the AIO Group and the Starclick Entertainment AG. He is also a board of trustees of the Laureus Foundation Switzerland tätig.Seit September 2011 Marc Walder is also the Association Bureau of SWISS MEDIA.
