Marcel Florkin

Marcel Florkin ( born August 15, 1900 in Liege, † May 3, 1979 ) was a Belgian biochemist and professor at the University of Liège.

1946 received Florkin the Francqui price. In 1951 he was co-founder of the Belgian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Florkin was also Director of the Biochemical Institute of the University of Liège and President of the International Academy of the History of Medicine.
