Marcie Blane

Marcie Blane ( born May 21, 1944 in Brooklyn ) is an American pop singer who has become known through the published in the fall of 1962 Single Bobby 's Girl.

History

Immediately after her high school graduation Blane received a recording contract. Bobby 's Girl was her first single. The recording was produced in the then-popular sound of girl groups. The single reached the U.S. charts, number 3 on their hit was accompanied by Billy Mure orchestra. For the German market, she has produced a localized version. Their second single What Does A Girl Do? could achieve a modest number 82 again. After the success came from, and Blane withdrew after a few more unsuccessful single releases from the music business.
