Marco Rizzo

Marco Rizzo ( born October 12, 1959 in Turin ) is an Italian and communist politician.

Life and Politics

Marco Rizzo graduated in political science and works as a journalist and publicist.

He was until 1998 a member of the Partito della Rifondazione Comunista (PRC) and from 1998 to 2009 Member of the Partito dei Comunisti Italiani ( PdCl ). For the PdCI he belonged within the 6th term of the European Parliament. During this time he was there with his party a part of the Confederal Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left. For his group, he was on 22 July 2004 to July 13, 2009 Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection. He also took over the vice-chairmanship of 21 September 2004 to 13 March 2007 in the Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America.

In July 2009, parted ways from Rizzo and PdCI and he announced the test on a movement of " Communist man" ( nasce Comunisti - Sinistra Popolare ) to initiate.
