Marco Sejna
Marco Sejna ( born March 20, 1972 in Berlin ) is a former German football goalkeeper.
Career
Marco Sejna began playing football in the F- youth of Hertha BSC. As D- teenager, he later switched to the 1 FC Luebars, before he returned to the A - youth of Hertha. He came as a 19- year-old at the end of the season 1990/91 after the injury model of Walter Junghans and Reinhard lean to six inserts in the first team. His first game he graduated on May 11 against Borussia Dortmund. Will be followed by a 3:7 against FC Bayern Munich and a single victory against Bayer Uerdingen to which he could make a decisive contribution through a held Penalty.
After four more years and 55 games in the second division Sejna moved in 1995 to the Regional Tennis Borussia Berlin, with which he was subject in the relegation games in 1996 for the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with VfB Oldenburg.
In 1997 it moved to the league rivals Sejna Sachsen Leipzig and another two years later on to LR Ahlen. There, he managed the team in his first year of promotion to the second division, but he lost in the spring of 2000 his place at the newly obligated Dirk Langer leg. In 2002 Sejna for one year for a third- division club Rot-Weiss Essen, but where he could not sit down and so in the coming season Ahlen joined.
2004 Sejna returned back to his hometown and signed a contract with 1.FC Union Berlin. After 19 Regional Games and the descent into the league, he moved to SV Yeşilyurt Berlin, which he, however, 04 left in the winter break of 2005/ 06 in the direction of the Bavarian Oberliga side FC Ingolstadt again.
With his new team Sejna rose as goalkeeper immediately to the Regionalliga Süd, then lost but also his place and came in the next three years only to four inserts. 2008 but he also was part of the squad, which managed to get promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. He was in the 2nd league still " number two " behind Michael Lutz and contested the 2008/ 09 second division two games. After Ingolstadt directly descended again, stood Sejna 2009/10 14 times in the 3rd League for the FCI in goal.
In the summer of 2010 took football second division side Hertha BSC Marco Sejna as third goalkeeper under contract. The 38 -year-old had signed a one-year contract, the Berlin club said. On 16 October 2010 he made , due to the failure of the root goalkeeper Maikel Aerts, his first game against FSV Frankfurt ( 1-0 ). Overall, he came up with seven inserts season.
In the 2012/13 season he played for the SFC Stern 1900 and finished after his active career. He plays at the time still in the tradition of team of Hertha BSC.
He is currently working as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for the BFC Dynamo in the Football Oberliga Nordost and at the U19 SFC Stern 1900 (Berlin- League ).
