Marcus Cassel

Marcus Ray Cassel ( born January 6, 1983 in Long Beach, California, † November 17, 2006 in Santa Monica, California ) was an American professional football player.

The African American went to Bellflower in Los Angeles on the St. John Bosco High School. In the years 2002 to 2005 he was cornerback football player at the UCLA Bruins. In his senior year, he reached as a starter in 12 games a score of 10:2 for his team. He studied at the University of California (UCLA ) and received a degree in psychology.

As a free agent he signed in May 2006 a contract for the Carolina Panthers, but stopped because of a hamstring injury on the bench. On 17 November 2006 he died 23 years old in Santa Monica to the injuries he had suffered in a car accident.
