Marcus Nispel
Marcus Nispel ( born April 15, 1963 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German film director.
Life
Marcus Nispel Leibniz visited the school in Frankfurt- Höchst. After working in the advertising industry as an art director for Young & Rubicam in Frankfurt, he came in 1984, a Fulbright scholarship in the United States. He made his directorial debut in 1989 with music videos for C & C Music Factory and founded in New York City, the production company Portfolio Artists Network. As a music video director, he worked with artists such as George Michael, Cher, Janet Jackson, Puff Daddy, Faith No More, Simply Red, No Doubt, Nina Hagen and Mylène Farmer. He also produced numerous commercials.
For his music video he was twelve times nominated at the MTV Video Music Awards and won four times, including in 1993 for George Michael Killer / Papa was a Rolling Stone.
As a director Nispel has become known primarily for the remake of the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre under the name of Michael Bay 's Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
According to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Pathfinder - Legend of the Warrior his next work 2009 was a remake of Friday the 13th
Since 2010, Nispel is working on a remake of Barbarian movie Conan the Barbarian with Jason Momoa in the role of the title character. The film was shown in German cinemas on September 8, 2011.
On January 13, 2012 Relativity Media announced that director Nispel Matt Pizzolo replaced for the comic book film adaptation Hack / Slash.
