Margravine Elisabeth Louise of Brandenburg-Schwedt

Anna Elisabeth Louise of Brandenburg- Schwedt ( born April 22, 1738 in Schwedt, † February 10, 1820 in Berlin) was a Princess of Brandenburg- Schwedt and by marriage Princess of Prussia.

Life

Louise was a daughter of Margrave Frederick William of Brandenburg- Schwedt (1700-1771) from his marriage to Sophie Dorothea Marie of Prussia (1719-1765), sister of Frederick the Great.

She married on 27 September 1755 Schloss Charlottenburg her uncle Prince Ferdinand of Prussia ( 1730-1813 ). Luise was described as beautiful, witty and amiable. Ferdinand left in 1801 to invest in his Bellevue Palace for his wife a dairy.

Louise died at an advanced age and was in Berlin as a relic of Frederick times as original. The appointment of Ernst Ludwig Heim to their personal physician was the anecdote. Louise is buried in the Cathedral of Berlin.

Louise had the following children, where with the exception of the eldest child Count Friedrich Wilhelm Carl adopted by Schmettau as the father of her children:
