Maria Amalia of Naples and Sicily

Maria Amalia of the Two Sicilies ( born April 26, 1782 Naples, † March 24, 1866 in Claremont House near Esher, Surrey, England ) was a member of the house of Bourbon, who became Queen of the French from 1830 until 1848.

Life

Maria Amalia was a daughter of Ferdinand I of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies and Archduchess Maria Carolina of Austria.

She married Louis Philippe I d' Orléans, King of France, son of Louis -Philippe II Joseph de Bourbon, duc d' Orléans and his wife Louise Marie Adélaïde de Bourbon- Penthièvre, on 25 November 1809.

Maria Amalia died on 24 March 1866, 83 years in Claremont House, Surrey, England.
