Maria Crocifissa Di Rosa

Crocifissa Maria Di Rosa ( born November 6, 1803 in Brescia, † December 15, 1855 in Brescia) was a founder of the order and is revered in the Catholic Church as a saint.

Mary, who was born with the name Paola, came from a noble Italian family, and identified as 17 -year-old from the vow perpetual virginity. In 1840 she founded the Congregation of the " maids of Love" ( Suore Ancelle di S. Maria della Carita Crocifissa Di Rosa), who devote themselves especially nursing. Upon the death of the founder of the order, the board of the Community itself for 15 years, there were already 24 religious houses.
