Maria das Graças Silva Foster

Mary of Graces Silva Foster ( description? / I ) ( born August 26, 1953 in Caratinga ) is a Brazilian manager and the chairman of the largest Latin American gas and energy company Petrobras.

Life

Foster grew up in Rio de Janeiro. She studied Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at the Universidade Federal Fluminense. Subsequently, she completed a master's degree in the fields of fluid mechanics and nuclear engineering at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. In addition, she earned the Master of Business Administration in Economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas of the private university in Rio de Janeiro.

Foster appeared already as an intern at a Petrobras at the age of 24 years. In 2010 she was working as Managing Director for Latin America's largest gas and energy company Petrobras. In January 2012, she was nominated by the Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff for the presidency of Petrobras. Since February 13, 2012 Foster counts as the successor of Sergio Gabrielli chairman of the Brazilian company Petrobras. She is currently the only woman that protrudes one of the top 50 companies in the energy industry in the world, the first female president of an oil company and also the first woman at the helm of Petrobras.
