María del Pilar Ayuso González

María del Pilar Ayuso González ( born June 16, 1942 in Badajoz) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular.

Ayuso earned the title of an agricultural engineer and a diplomat school diploma in the European communities. She was about three decades working as a researcher and research director at the National Institute for Agricultural Research. In the PP, she led the office of the National Commission on Agricultural Studies. From 1991 to 1999 she was a member of the Parliament of the Autonomous Community of Castilla -La Mancha. During this time she was also a consultant for Agriculture and the Environment of the PP fractions in the Congreso de los Deputies and in the Senate as well as Director General of the Department of Nutrition at the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Since 1999 she is a member of the European Parliament.
