María Fernanda Espinosa

María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés ( born September 7, 1964 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian politician. Since November 2012 she is Minister of Defence, before she was, inter alia, Minister for Cultural and Natural Heritage, Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the United Nations and Secretary of State of Ecuador. In addition, she is involved as a councilor of the World Future Council for the Rights of Future Generations.
