Maria Koszutska

Maria Koszutska (pseudonym: Wera Kostrzewa; * 1876 in Główczyn; † 9 July 1939 Moscow) was a Polish teacher and official of the Communist Party of Poland ( KPP ).

Koszutska joined in 1902 the Polish Socialist Party in 1906 and became a leading theorist of its left wing (PPS -L). In 1918 she was elected to the Central Committee of the newly established KPP, which she was until 1929. After 1929 she lived in the USSR, where it fell victim to the Stalinist purges.
