Maria Lundqvist

Annika Maria Lundqvist ( born October 14, 1963 in Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg, Sweden) is a Swedish actress.

Life

Maria Lundqvist has played during their school theater, so in 1983 they studied acting at the Teaterhögskolan i Göteborg. After her graduation in 1986 she was on the theater stages of Gothenburg Stadsteater to see Folkteatern i Göteborg, Backa Teater, Stockholm Stadsteater and the Royal Dramatic Theatre.

With the TV movie Knäckebröd och hovmästarsås she launched her film career in 1991. As a librarian Sally Santesson in the eponymous TV series Sally it made in 1999 its first major national success. It was followed by 2001, the two movies Deadline - Terror in Stockholm and Familjehemligheter with which she received a nomination each from the Swedish Film Awards Guldbagge both for Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Actress. The price for best actress she won in 2006 for her role as a self-sacrificing mother Signe Jönsson in the film drama The best mother, and the prize for Best Supporting Actress she received in 2009 for her role of Ann in the film drama Himlens hjärta.
