Maria Sadowska

Maria Sadowska (* June 27, 1976 in Warsaw) is a Polish singer, songwriter, composer, writer and director. She is a member of the Phonographic Academy ZPAV. Her musical styles including jazz, pop, funk and electronica.

Biography

Maria Sadowska is the daughter of composer Krzysztof Sadowski ( b. 1936 ) and singer Liliana Urbańska ( b. 1939 ). Their first musical work, she took on at the age of 14 years. She made her debut with the band Tęcza. Three years later, she recorded her first solo works. As a teenager, she hosted the TV shows Tęczowy Music Box and co jest grane and the radio program Twój hit. 1995 her first solo album was released. She also visited a music school in Warsaw.

In 2002 she completed her studies as a director at the State University of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź. In 2004, she brought out her album " Marysia Sadowska ," with which they could celebrate more success for the first time. With the album Tribute to Komeda it reached in 2006 in Poland, Gold status, and sold more than 15,000 records. The single release Kiedy nie ma miłości was also successful.

On 5 June 2009, she released the album Spis treści for whose production Sadowska was completely alone are responsible for the first time. Also in 2009, she was presented as part of the episodic film Demakijaż 30 - minute film Non stop kolor.

2012 Sadowska was for her feature film debut Women's Day ( Dzień Kobiet ) awarded the main prize at the Film Festival Cottbus. In February 2013, it also received the " coco Special Pitch Award" of the Film Festival Cottbus, which enables it to pitch their new project at the East-West co-production market in 2013. She is currently working on her new album, the soundtrack to her film Women's Day.
