Maria van Eicken

Maria from (van ) Eicken (* 1571 in Brussels, † April 21, 1636 in Port Angels Monastery ) was the wife of the Margrave Edward Fortunatus of Baden.

Life

She was born in Brussels as the daughter of Joost van Eycken and Barbara van Moll.

On March 13, 1591, the Margrave Edward Fortunatus of Baden married in Brussels, not befitting Maria von Eicken. The children that emerged from this marriage were never recognized by his cousin Ernst Friedrich.

Marie and Eduard Fortunat had the following children:

• Margrave Wilhelm (1593-1677)
• Fortunat Hermann (1595-1665)
• Albert Karl ( * 1598 Kastellaun, † 1626 Schlosshund Castle ), by an oversight he shot himself.
• Anna Marie Lucretia (* 1592 Murano; † 1654 Kastellaun )
