Marian Hemar

Marian Hemar ( born April 6, 1901 Jan Marian Hesheles in Lwów, † February 11, 1972 in London; pseudonyms Jan Marianski and Marian Wallenrod ) was a Polish poet, journalist, satirist and comedy writer.

From 1926 he was writer in residence of the famous satirical theater Qui Pro Quo in Warsaw and wrote sketches for radio. During the Second World War, the Polish Jew from the Nazis had to flee into exile in London, where he became the most important satirists of the Polish community in exile after 1945. He was a cousin of Stanisław Lem.
