Mariclare Costello

Mariclare Costello ( born February 3, 1936 in Peoria, Illinois ) is an American actress.

Career

Costello's acting career began in 1967 with the role of Rosie in The Tiger Strikes Back. She became famous by the role of Rosemary Hunter Fordwick in the television series The Waltons, which she played from 1972 to 1977. She graduated from guest appearances in various television series and was seen mainly in television films. In addition to her acting work, she is a Professor of Theatre Studies at Loyola Marymount University.

Costello was married from 1977 until his death in 2013, actor Allan Arbus.
