Marie Favart
Marie Justine Benoîte Duronceray ( born June 15, 1727 Avignon, † April 22, 1772 ), after her marriage Marie Favart, was a French actress and writer.
Duronceray was a daughter of André René Duronceray and his wife, Claudine Perette Bied; both court musicians of the Polish King Stanislaus Leszczynski I.. Your first artistic instruction received Duronceray by their parents and could as a teenager at the court of Stanislaus ' successful debut as a dancer.
Duronceray appeared under the pseudonym " Mlle Chantilly " elsewhere on as an actress and dancer. They also met the writer Charles Simon Favart and married him on 12 December 1645., With whom she had a son, who later became an actor and writer Charles -Nicolas Favart. As an actress and dancer at the Opéra -Comique she could achieve great success. She played 1746-1748 at La Monnaie in Brussels. Due to competitive pressures, the entrepreneurial couple was forced to close its own stage. When her husband was instead involved with a theater company by the Marshal of Saxony, Maurice of Saxony, accompanied on his campaigns in Flanders and Brussels.
Due to the snares of the Marshal they fled in the meantime in a monastery and was placed by him under house arrest. After his death in 1750 she returned with her husband back to Paris. There she was far from successful as an actress at the Comédie Italienne -, dancing was on the other hand. In Belleville, they also ran a salon.
In addition to her profession of acting, she co-authored with her husband many plays. Due to this close cooperation, it is now hardly possible to distinguish between her and the share of their husband.
