Marie Serneholt

Marie Eleonor Serneholt ( born July 11, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer. She was a member of the Swedish pop group A * Teens and began a solo career in 2006.

Life and career

Marie Serneholt was born in Stockholm and wanted to be a pop star as a young child. As a member of the A * Teens, she sold over 5 million records worldwide.

After the separation in 2004 Serneholt sought a solo career and recorded her first album titled Enjoy The Ride on, which she published in Sweden in early 2006. She reached, as well as the first single That's The Way My Heart Goes, the Top 10 of the Swedish singles chart. The single was also released in Germany and served the TV station ProSieben in spring 2006 as background music for trailer program of own advertising campaign, " World Cup for the Girls". She took in February 2009 at Melodifestivalen, the Swedish preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2009 in part and already retired from in the first round. The song Disconnect Me counted while those four, which were allowed to participate via wildcard.

On December 2011 Serneholt published under Warner Music Sweden, the first sung by her in Swedish single Himlen I famn Min. In 2012 she again took on Melodifestivalen with the song Salt & Pepper part, but again could not qualify for the final itself.
