Marijan Kovačević

Marijan Kovačević ( born August 31, 1973 in Hamburg ) is a former Croatian football player and current football coach who also has a German passport.

Kovačević began his professional career in 1993 at Hamburg, where he had previously played in the youth. In 1997 he moved to VfL Wolfsburg and two years later he was transferred to MSV Duisburg. After Kovačević he was MSV left at the end of 2001, in any of his subsequent stations for over a year until he settled in July 2005 joined the second team of VfB Stuttgart. Kovačević qualified with VfB II in the 2007/ 08 season as captain for the new 3rd professional league.

On October 4, 2008 Kovačević came in a 4-1 home win against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga for his first competitive game use for the first team of VfB Stuttgart, eight years after his last league game for MSV Duisburg.

After the 2008/ 09 season Kovačević ended his active career. For the 2009/10 season he will coach the U-15 VfB Stuttgart.
