Marina del Rey is a census -designated place in California, USA. The place is located on the Pacific coast in Los Angeles County and is especially known for its large man-made recreational marina with berths for 5,300 boats. The administration of the site is carried out by the County.

Geography

Marina del Rey is southeast of Venice and north of Playa del Rey near the mouth of Ballona Creek. The Los Angeles Airport is located approximately six kilometers south. The town is completely surrounded by Los Angeles. In particular, the narrow strip of beach called Marina Peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and the location is within the city limits of Los Angeles.

History
