Marine Security Guard

The United States Marine Corps Security Guard (also Marine Embassy Guard, shortly MSG) is one of the four operating forces of the U.S. Marine Corps and provides for the safety of the property of American missions abroad. The unit was set up in 1948.

The MSG is working closely with the Diplomatic Security Service together, which is responsible as the federal authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the global security of citizens, diplomats and buildings in the United States. Although the soldiers of MSG include administratively to the Marine Corps, but are in use under civilian command.
