Marino Grimani

Marino Grimani (* 1489, † September 28, 1546 in Orvieto ) was an Italian cardinal and Apostolic legate.

Grimani was born into a Venetian aristocrat family. He was bishop of the diocese Ceneda. In 1517 he was Patriarch of the Patriarchate of Aquileia and in 1527 he was created cardinal. After that, he was bishop of the dioceses Concordia ( 1533), Città di Castello ( 1534), Saint -Pons -de- Thomières ( 1534), Frascati (1541 ) and Porto - Santa Rufina ( 1543).
