Mario Brenta

Mario Brenta ( born April 17, 1942 in Venice ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Brenta was " 22 Dicembre " formed at the film school founded by Ermanno Olmi and Tullio Kezich and was already 20 years old first assistant director on Eriprando Visconti, the other engagements followed until 1969. After moving to Rome, he worked for television, often in cooperation with Carlo Tuzii with which he contributed to Racconta la tua storia and Sotto processo and with Alberto Moravia worked. Based on a screenplay for Tuzii and another he made his first film in 1974, the stylistically interesting and excellent with the grolla d' Oro at Saint Vincent Vermisàt, however, the loss leaving the public at large. According to documentary work, inter alia, about his mentor Olmi, he was in 1989 with the his documentary works committed Maicol feature film back in theaters; Finally, he turned in 1994 Barnabo delle montagne on the story by Dino Buzzati, which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. This film also showed his quiet, slow, permeated with beautiful pictures numbing narration.

When AsoloArtFestival he presented his 2010 film about Titian. Brenta lectured at various universities, as at the University of Padua.
