Mario Holek

Mario Holek ( born October 28, 1986 in Brno ) is a Czech football player. The midfielder began his career at the 1 FC Brno and plays since January 2012 for top Czech club Sparta Prague.

Career

Holek was included in the senior squad of the 1st FC Brno in early 2005. In the Gambrinus League he made his debut on April 10, 2005 game against Slovan Liberec and was henceforth a regular player. His first goal in the Premier League he scored almost a year later on April 9, 2006 against Sigma Olomouc and rescued his team so that one point. In January 2008, the midfielder moved to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukrainian league, the transfer fee was, according to media reports, more than 50 million crowns, the equivalent of almost two million euros.

In January Holek moved to Sparta Prague.

His international debut was Holek on 18 November 2009 in the 0-2 defeat against Azerbaijan.
