Mario Tronti

Mario Tronti ( born 1931 in Rome ) is an Italian philosopher.

Tronti was one of the most important theorists of Operaism a Marxist tendency in the 60s. He wanted to start a militant organization below the KPI and can be played back to the program of the labor movement, the revolution. His essays appeared in the journal Quaderni rossi Raniero Panzieris and, after cleavage of the QR in a Panzieri and a Tronti group in 1963, in Classe operaia that by himself, Romano Alquati, Antonio Negri, among others is supported. This group splits (1966) and while Negri further and further from the PCI toward Potere operaio and workers' autonomy, the group joined the party to Tronti (which was leaked in 1958 ) back in and tried to radicalize from the inside.
