Marita Skogum

Marita Skogum ( born January 3, 1961) is a former Swedish orienteer.

Skogum in 1982 Nordic champion in orienteering. The following year, their first WRC assignment followed at the championships in Hungary Zalaegerszeg. They finished third in the individual competition behind her compatriot Annichen Kringstad - Svensson second place. In the season they won together with Karin Rabe, Kerstin Månsson and Annichen Kringstad - Svensson gold. In 1989 she became world champion in the individual race, as well as with the Swedish squadron, which was successful in 1991 and 1993. In the individual competitions - now the short-distance was introduced as a new competition - they still won one gold, silver and bronze medal. At the Nordic Championships 1992, she scored a triple victory. She was also in this year the winner of the overall World Cup.

In Swedish Championships Skogum won eight titles: Twice the season, twice on the long distance, twice on the ultra-long- distance, and once each in the night and run to the middle distance. It was five times awarded the BT- Plaques of the daily newspaper Borås Tidning and was Sweden's orienteer of 1989, 1992 and 1993.

In 2001, she was woman coach of the Swedish national team. Between 2006 and 2010 she also had the overall responsibility for the Swedish team.
