Orienteering World Cup

Orienteering World Cup (IOF World Cup ) is one of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF ) discharged competition series in orienteering. A series is about the Kalendarjahr instead distributed and includes the twelve races. Also, World and European Championships will be taken in the standings.

The first World Cup races were held in 1983 and 1984. Finally, in 1986 were first held eight official World Cup races. Until 2004 the race series was held every two years mode, find since 2004 annually competitions. Between 1994 and 2006 also relay races were organized.

The most successful athlete is the Swiss Simone Niggli -Luder, the nine times won the overall World Cup 2002-2013, in the men 's Swiss Daniel Hubmann with four hits most successful participants.
