Ski is a Norwegian municipality in Akershus Fylke with 29,300 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013). The seat of government is in the same village. The city, ski, is located about 20 kilometers from Oslo. The name "Ski " comes from the old form " Skeide ", which is derived from the word " Skeid ". " Skeid " means a place where you abhaltet Wettlaufe. The three horse heads at the municipal coat of arms symbolize this origin.
