Helena Jansson

Helena Jansson ( born August 28, 1985 in Skövde ) is a Swedish orienteer.

Jansson came the IF Hagen for orienteering and now starts for the club Leksand OK. Between 2002 and 2005, Jansson won four medals, including gold at 2004 World Junior Championships with the Swedish squadron. In individual she won bronze at the 2003 and 2004 long-distance gold on the middle distance. Followed in 2006 by the first start in European and World Championships in the elite class. Great attention bestowed on her the sprint victory at the 2007 Nordic Championships. Since it is also part of Swedish women's relay with which they still vice world champion in 2007. In 2008 she won in Latvia in the relay with Lina Persson, Emma Engstrand and the European title. In 2009 she was the first time World Champion. During the sprint in Miskolc, Hungary remained well ahead of her compatriot Linnea Gustafsson. As a final leg of the season (this time with Karolina A. Hoejsgaard and Kajsa Nilsson ) won silver. In 2009 she also managed to win the O-rings. They won all the individual stages. 2010 was followed by European champion in the sprint and the relay. At the 2011 World Championships she won medals in all competitions. After the second place in the sprint behind Linnea Gustafsson and number three on the long track, she won over the middle distance gold before the Danish Ida Bobach. With the Season ( Tove Alexandersson and Annika Billstam ), she was third. At the end of the 2011 season they secured the overall World Cup.

2012 Jansson won at the World Championships silver team. In addition, she finished fourth in the sprint. 2013 she won the World Cup opener in January in New Zealand but was then not considered for the World Championships in Finland Vuokatti.
