Martin Johansson (orienteer b. 1984)

Martin Johansson ( born September 26, 1984 in Avesta ) is a Swedish orienteers.

Martin Johansson who is a member at the club IFK Mora is won at the 2007 World Championships in Kiev and 2008 in Olomouc each one bronze medals in the sprint. Back in 2004, Johansson was second in the Junior World Championships Long Distance and won with the Swedish relay gold medal. In 2005 he finished in eighth place at the World Games in Duisburg. Martin Johansson is a good runner and skier and has already participated in the Vasaloppet.

In the relay race of the 2009 World Championships in Miskolc, Hungary Johansson ran as the final runner in the leadership group and was seriously injured. His direct opponent Thierry Gueorgiou (France), Michal Smola (Czech Republic) and Anders Nordberg (Norway ) were witnesses to the accident and broke their run to supply Johansson and get help. The race was seen in spite of this incident and the distortion of the result of the IOF.
