Mariya Gabriel

Marija Ivanova Nedeltschewa (also Mariya Ivanova Nedelcheva written, Bulgarian Мария Иванова Неделчева; born May 20, 1979 Gotse Delchev, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian politician of the GERB party and Member of Parliament. She speaks English, French and Russian.

Marija Nedeltschewa studied at the Paisii - Hilendarski University of Plovdiv, where she completed a bachelor's degree in Bulgarian and French Philology. After she graduated in France the Master course " Comparative Politics and International Relations " at the University of Bordeaux. Subsequently, she worked as a researcher at the Institute of Political Science in Bordeaux.

In the following years she completed her doctorate at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Bordeaux and the Institute for European Studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium.

After the founding of the Bulgarian GERB party 2006, she was chairman of the youth organization. By 2008 Nedeltschewa was head of the " projects and public relations" at the Economic Policy Institute in Sofia.

In the European elections in Bulgaria 2009, she was elected Member of Parliament for the European People 's Party ( Christian Democrats) and European Democrats in the European Parliament.
