Mark Demesmaeker

Marc Victor Marie "Mark " Demesmaeker ( born September 12, 1958 in Halle) is a Flemish- Belgian television presenter and politician ( N -VA).

Demesmaeker worked as a teacher before he went to watch TV. In 1991 he started as a reporter for the public travel magazine Vlaanderen Vakantieland. He then went to commercial broadcasters VTM, where he presented the gardening program Groene vingers and acted as a newscaster. On the niche channels Vitaya he hosted the show then Tuindromen met Mark.

Demesmaeker was elected in 2004 on the cartel list of N -VA and the CD & V in the Flemish Parliament. In 2006 he succeeded the election to the City Council Hall, which he already belonged from 1982 to 1989, and the election of one of the jurors. In the 2012 elections he became the leading candidate of the N - VA, although the strongest party was, but not fed into the government, so that he lost his position as alderman.
