Mark Landler

Mark Aurel Landler ( born October 26, 1965 in Stuttgart) is an American journalist. Since July 2002, the economics correspondent for Europe and Germany correspondent for the New York Times, based in Frankfurt am Main.

Career

Landler began his career with the New York Times in 1987 as an assistant after the had finished his studies at Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in international politics.

After five years as an editor at BusinessWeek Landler 1995 financial journalist for the New York Times with a focus on media and telecommunications.

From 1997 to 1998 he was a fellow by Reuters at Oxford University and then four years office manager at the New York Times in Hong Kong, where he reported from 17 Central and South Asian countries.
