Mark Verheiden

Mark Verheiden ( born 1956 ) is an American screenwriter and comic book author and film producer.

Life and work

Verheiden has worked as a screenwriter since the early 1990s. The film screenplays which he co-wrote include, inter alia, the script for The Mask (1994 ) with Jim Carrey. In the same year he was involved as a writer on the science-fiction movie Timecop. For the American television developed Verheiden that produced by the broadcaster ABC series Timecop for which he also contributed the majority of the screenplays.

It was followed by the youth series Smallville, also worked for three seasons Verheiden long as supervising and co- producer. In the years 2005-2009 Verheiden served as executive producer and writer for Battlestar Galactica series. Since 2011 he has been the same way for Falling Skies operates.

In 2007 he was involved as a screenwriter on the film comedy My Name Is Bruce.

As a comic book writer Verheiden in the past has mainly written for publishers Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics: For Dark Horse he put work for The American and based on the eponymous horror film series Comics aliens before. Its popularity as the author of Aliens comics also had the consequence that an embodied by Tommy Flannagan character of the film Alien vs. Predator was named after him.
