Markus Osthoff

Mark " Jimmy" Osthoff ( born November 19, 1968 in Saarbrücken ) is a former German football player.

Career

The 1.72 m wide midfielder graduated in the years 1994 to 2000 a total of 130 games in the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg, scoring 13 goals. He also played for Eintracht Trier, Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Braunschweig and 1 FC Saarbrücken. In the 2nd Bundesliga Osthoff came to 68 missions in which he was able to achieve five goals. After the season 2002 /03 he finished his pro career.

Markus Osthoff is now a teacher at a secondary school in Bottrop. He taught home economics and sports. He also works as a freelance nutritionist, among other things, in an outpatient rehabilitation center in Gelsenkirchen.

For the 2012/13 season Osthoff took his first coaching job at the district division side SV Spellen.
