Marmion Marine Park

The Marmion Marine Park is a marine nature reserve on the west coast of Western Australia in Australia that extends north of the suburbs of Perth as part of Western Australia's Sunset Coast. This marine nature reserve was the first in Western Australia, which was designated by that State in May 1987.

The Marmion Marina Park covers an area of ​​10.500 km ² and ranges from Trigg Iceland in the south to Burns Beach Perth. There are a total of six public beaches there. In 1.8 km wide and 6 km long reserve, which is located within the three-mile zone lying limestone reefs along the shoreline at which contain numerous tropical fish. Fishing and gathering of marine animals, both for commercial as well as for private consumption is not permitted in three protection zones.

In the waters off the coast to keep Australian sea lions, and keep the bottle-nosed dolphin on. Humpback whales migrate in May each year through this water to the north and back in September and November.

In the marine reserve there is only one island, Little Iceland, which is a resting place for sea birds and sea lions.
