Marmnamarz

The 1911-1914 published journal Marmnamarz (Armenian Մարմնամարզ ) was the first sports magazine of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey. The Westarmenisch on published sheet ( Marmnamarz means sports in Armenian ) offered for the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire as an additional incentive to increase interest in the sport.

The Marmnamarz was issued in February 1911 by the pioneer Sports Shavarsh Krissian. She was a monthly magazine, which provided the necessary information about sports events, news and results of competitions. The magazine also published photographs of various Armenian athletes from around the world.

Because of the outbreak of World War I published the Marmnamarz 1914 its latest issue and presented their work a definitive after Krissian victims of genocide had been committed against the Armenians in 1915.
