Marta Litinskaya-Shul

Marta Ivanovna Litinskaja, born school (Russian Марта Ивановна Литинская; born March 25, 1949 in Lvov, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian chess player and mathematician.

Curriculum vitae

Under her Mädchenmanen Marta school (Ukrainian Шуль, FIDE: Shul ) she participated several times in Soviet Women's Championships in 1972 and won the ladies championship of the Soviet Union.

She played in the Interzonal in 1973 in Minorca (split 2nd to 5th place). The semi-finals of the World Cup they lost against Nana Alexandria in 1974 in Riga.

Due to its international success was Marta Litinskaja 1972 by FIDE the title International Champion of women ( WIM), and in 1976 the newly launched woman Grandmaster title ( WGM ).

She participated in four Chess Olympiads of women. In 1988, she played for the Soviet Union on the first Reserverbrett.
