Martin Ellerby

Martin Ellerby ( born 1957 in Worksop, England ) is an English composer.

Education and work

Martin Ellerby studied, among others, the Royal College of Music with Joseph Horovitz and is a composer of international reputation, whose works have been performed worldwide. His works are currently set to music in about 75 CD recordings. He composes for various instrumentations: symphony orchestra, choir, symphonic band, brass band, ballet and also solo works and chamber music.

Besides his work as a composer, he is currently a Visiting Professor at the headquarters Music Services of the British Royal Air Force operates and artistic director of the Music Publishing Studio Music Company in London and Senior Producer at Polyphonic Records. In his former position as Head of Composition and Contemporary Music at the London College of Music and Media, it was his aim to bring as many compositions of his students to the stage.
