Martin Hyun

Martin ( Jong -Bum ) Hyun ( born May 4, 1979 in Krefeld ) is a former German professional ice hockey player of Korean origin and author who has become known on the integration of his sporting successes out with statements. He was the first Korean -born hockey players in the DEL.

Career

Already in his youth played Hyun for the Krefeld skating club ( CRF) to its amateur team he belonged from the 1995/96 season. After good performances in the farm team of the Krefeld Penguins Hyun was appointed in the 1996/97 season by the former head coach of the Penguins Miroslav Berek and manager Rüdiger Noack in the first team squad. Hyun is a political scientist and hold a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury English. His bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in International Business, he completed at St. Michael 's College in the U.S. state of Vermont.
