Martin Pringle

Martin Pringle ( born November 18, 1970 in Gothenburg ) is a former Swedish football player who now works as a coach.

Career

Pringle played first only unterklassig at Vallens IF and IF Stenungsunds before he was discovered in 1994 and is committed Helsingborgs IF. After runner-up in Sweden, he was twice with the club, he moved to Portugal to Benfica. After three years in southern Europe, he moved in 1999 to England, where he was initially loaned to Charlton Athletic. With three goals in seven games, he persuaded the leaders of the association and has been committed. In 2001, he broke his leg for the first time. In order to gain match practice, he was loaned to Grimsby Town in 2002. In his second game for the club he broke off after a crunching tackle from Dave Challinor 's leg a second time. While the club sued the opponent to Pringle decided to end career.

Pringle returned to Sweden and became an assistant coach at Gothenburg club GAIS. After two years he finished his commitment to the Swedish second division, but remained in Gothenburg. When women's football club FC Gothenburg, who took in the Damallsvenskan, he covered until the end of 2007, his first job as head coach. He then went as assistant to Janne Carlsson for his timely second division Örgryte IS. With the Gothenburg club he rose to finish the season, but in the Allsvenskan, the club was from the beginning of the season 2009 in a relegation battle. In the summer of the year, so the club decided to change coach, Pringle therefore assisted henceforth the Norwegian Åge Hareide. At the end of the season the team still missed the league.

In December 2009, the local rivals and Västra Frölunda IF third division Pringle committed as new head coach. However, the 2010 season, he finished on a relegation place. In July 2011 he joined Assistant committed to succeed Ståle Solbakken of FC Copenhagen Roland Nilsson to Denmark.
